Legal Decision Wrong

The decision made by the court was completely wrong. The defense completely lied in their testimony. Three points were made, but none were backed by hard evidence.

1. The defense claims that the plaintiff was the cause for alcoholism and anger. There's no grounds that anyone caused the defendant to partake in such actions. The defense is fully accountable for her actions. There is no proof that the plaintiff ever offered alcohol to the defendant in an advantageous manner. Secondly, the defendant had already partaken in her own alcohol abuse months before. Finally, the plaintiff witnessed the defendant's father illegally offering alcohol to the defendant (a minor).

2. The defense improperly used the word harassing. The defense claimed that emails sent by the plaintiff were harassing. However, upon closer inspection of the emails there is nothing harassing in nature about them. In fact, they were quite the opposite. An email was sent asking for the defendant to pay back damages. There's nothing illegal about that, as it's one of the first steps in serving a civil law suit to someone. Lastly, the emails had nothing to do with the crime itself.

3. The defense claimed that the plaintiff grabbed her. The plaintiff's witness agrees that the plaintiff did not grab the defense in a violating manner, and that he was only trying to prevent the defendant from running across the street. It also was confirmed that her witness was not even present at the time of the incident. Note: the defendant tried to say the neighborhood was not in a busy traffic area, however, it is in fact close to many busy streets and roadways.

Summary:
The first two points are completely invalid, which makes the third invalid as well. How can a judge accept one story, while 66% of the entire testimony was bogus. The defendant is lying under oath and should've been held accountable for this.
